Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 October 2026
The service
GiftDial is a Shopify app that lets your shoppers buy gift cards for an amount they choose, issues native Shopify gift cards (or, in voucher mode, one-time discount codes) after payment, and delivers them by email with a PDF. It is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify.
Your responsibilities
- You decide the amounts, currencies, validity and terms of the gift cards you sell, and you publish your own gift card terms for your customers.
- You are responsible for the tax and accounting treatment of gift card sales and redemptions in your store. Voucher mode (discount codes) is treated differently from gift cards in many countries; check with your accountant before using it.
- You honour gift cards issued through GiftDial as you would any Shopify gift card.
What GiftDial does not guarantee
GiftDial depends on Shopify, the payment providers and email delivery being available. Emails can be delayed or refused by a recipient's mail server; the merchant can resend from the app. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the three months before the claim.
Data processing
GiftDial processes your customers' data only on your behalf and on your instructions, as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms the data processing terms between you and GiftDial: purpose limitation, confidentiality, security measures, the listed subprocessors, assistance with data-subject requests, and deletion at the end of the service.
Billing
Plans are billed by Shopify in USD through your Shopify invoice. Trials, upgrades, downgrades and cancellations follow Shopify's app billing. Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription. Downgrading never invalidates gift cards already issued.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email to the store owner at least 14 days in advance.
